Back in October, Odoo released their latest version of Odoo 12. Odoo has released new version 12 in October and no doubt it accomplishes all daily needs in business, no matter what industry they belong to. This blog shows a comparison between Odoo 12 Community vs Enterprise versions, helping businesses make an easier choice.

Odoo offers a unique value proposition. Everything you need within a top notch user experience. The open source model of Odoo has allowed us to help tons of businesses grow to where they want to be with such an easy to use system.

With strong technical foundations, Odoo’s framework is unique. It provides state of the art usability that scales across all apps. Usability improvements made on Odoo will automatically apply to all of our fully integrated apps. That way, Odoo evolves much faster than any other solution.

No more painful integrations. With 10.000+ apps in, Odoo covers all your business needs in a one-stop solution: no more having to use multiple software for your business. Odoo apps are perfectly integrated to each other, allowing you to fully automate your business processes.

Marc Peeters
“We replaced 14 different applications and increased revenues by 10% overnight.”
Marc Peeters, General Manager of the Vending Division

In 2015, ODOO announced a pivot in their business model. Instead of developing only open source software and selling support services, they switched to an open source business model. In addition to their open source product Odoo Community, they developed extra proprietary apps as Odoo Enterprise.

A key decision in the design of this pivot was to avoid creating two conflicting products (Odoo Community vs. Odoo Enterprise). Instead, they made Odoo Enterprise depend on Odoo Community. That way, the success of one drives the success of the other: Odoo Enterprise benefits from the visibility created by millions of community users, and Odoo Community benefits from a part of the improvements made on Odoo Enterprise.

The following are the highlighting features of Odoo 12.
